Cognitive Hypnotherapy
This approach is significantly different from other forms of hypnotherapy in that it allows you to find your own solution to your problem while I act as a skilled guide to help show you the way.
It's about empowering you and giving you the techniques and tools to use whenever you need to. We may use trance states to identify any negative thought patterns that may be present. These states are naturally occurring states just like day dreaming that we go in and out of all day long.
Most people have concerns about what Hypnosis is like and what to expect. Well your experience might be different to what you think. While in trance you can stay in complete control and you'll be totally aware of what's going on. Unlike the impression stage Hypnosis gives, you cannot be made to do anything you don't want to do and it won't change things that you don't want to change about yourself.
During trance we can communicate directly with the unconscious mind which is the part of the mind that can sometimes automatically control our thoughts, feelings and behaviours.
You unconscious mind is just like a computer programme running in the background and sometimes parts of that programme get corrupted or just don't run the way you want them to. We can identify these negative problems and fix them giving you control again with the programme running efficiently and smoothly.
I also use other techniques within the Cognitive approach that you may or may not have heard of; these include EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and EMI (Eye Movement Integration).

Positive Psychology
Positive Psychology is a branch of psychology that investigates the factors that create happiness.
Developed by Martin Seligman it identifies your strengths and virtues to guide you toward a state of mind that is known as a "Flow state". These flow states occur when we are in our element, doing the things that create happiness, positive energy, excitement etc.
You've probably experienced a flow state as being totally immersed in something you're doing, totally focused on the moment.
We can identify your signature strengths to bring about more flow states in your life and coach you forward into a more positive future.
