National Association of Home Builders Awards MindWise for Outstanding Achievement in Workplace Safety

Dedham MA – The 2022 NAHB/Builders Mutual Insurance Company Safety Award For Excellence (SAFE) acknowledges MindWise Innovations’ collaboration with the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) to improve safety and mental health among single- and multi-family builders, remodelers, specialty trade contractors, and others. The NAHB will present the award in the category of Excellence in Mental Health Advocacy to MindWise at a ceremony in Las Vegas on January 31, 2023.

The award recognizes MindWise’s work addressing the specific behavioral health concerns among NAHB’s younger workforce, while building a roadmap for support and continued development to ensure a robust talent pipeline for future leadership growth. “We helped to raise awareness about mental health and suicide risk among their young professionals, with a focus on building a psychologically safe culture,” says Dr. Lisa Desai, Chief Behavioral Health Officer at MindWise. “We are very proud of our work with NAHB, which makes winning this award that much more special.”

MindWise engaged NAHB’s membership with focus groups and executive interviews, offered interactive courses to build behavioral health literacy, provided access to the MindWise Screening Platform which includes anonymous screenings for major mental health concerns, and built customized behavioral health awareness campaigns for the use of NAHB. One participant of the Intergenerational Roundtable Trainings concluded, “What a positive thing to take across our federation and within our job sites and even just with our own families.”
